What is the purpose of Dreams and what do they do for you?
Question:
Answers:
Dreams are funny entities.
Basically, what scientists believe is that dreams are a way for you to subconciously work out problems.
Typically, if you think about something before you go to bed, or are worried about something before you go to sleep, you usually dream about it.
Think of it as emptying your recycle bin. You're taking everything you've been milling over and began to work through it when your body is calm and you have the time to tend to it.
It's been theorized that dreams are healthy. They increase mental stability (Less on your mind 24/7), and you only dream when you reach REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. When you reach this state, you are in a VERY deep sleep, and it is when your body slows down the most. It allows your muscles to begin to repair, your stomach to digest, and your body to most actively fight off infection.
If you don't reach REM sleep, you're screwed that night. :P
Plus, you can ONLY dream when you're tired. There is a chemical reaction in your brain that triggers it to begin the "Recycling" process.
They let me wake up and go ".................woah"
