resperidone / risperdol. any one on this antidepressant?

Question: when you first took it, did it make u feel drowsy that u cudnt even keep ur eyes open and was forced to sleep? hw lond did it take to get used to ur body? does it work for ur illness and any side effects? thanx i just slept for 14 hrs. yes, 14!

I guess it's an anti psychotic. Dn't take the word wrongly,were u sleepless for long?There are certain side effects like excessive sleep(though a little bit of that is expected) trmors ,droolingetc. But only a few people will have difficulties like that. In case u have any difficulties of the sort check with your Doc immediately,there's ways for effective management.Just don't worry,get well soon....

I was on it for about a year. I slept all the time for first couple months. I finally switched to different medication because of weight gain. I wish you better luck with it.
