Am I the only one who has this problem?

Question:
Any time I got out anywhere fun I seem to be anxious to get it over with and come home. I have a good time when I am out but find it hard to just be spontaneous. I have to depend on public transportion so I have to time everything by it to avoid waiting forever. On my days off I got out early and seem to be in by 1 or 2 in the afternoon with no desire to go out again. I can't even go anywhere on my work days although I don't work till late afternoon and have the whole half day free, it seems just making a run to the store exhausts me and the thought of coming home and having to go back out to work later fills me with dread. I like to be on the go but need to spend alot of time at home too so if I go someplace before going to work, I feel like my free time has gone too fast. I know other people who are out running around all day doing stuff and then go to work in the afternoon or evening but I don't seem to have the energy to do it. Am I the only one who feels like this?

Answers:
No your not the only one. I use to be in your situation, I mean I never used to seem as run down as you say you are, or atleast not all the time, but it's a major drag to have to wait for buses & run your schedule around them. It makes you not want to do anything. Especially where I use to wait for them in South TX where it's really hot. The problem is that your not able to do what you want & w/ in your time schedule. So your just a little depressed which is what is making you feel like you don't want or have the energy to do anything. & w/ the time it takes to wait for the bus & to actually get to where you want to go takes a bit of your time as they are constantly making stops. One of the mains things tht will help you in your situation would be to save some money & get a car. Even if it's just a little cheap car till you can get a little bit better one. Which w/ a car you can than look for a better paying job since you'll have your own transportation now & can than save alittle quicker to get a better one. This should take away the slight depression & low energy abt the bus thing. & if this still doesn't have you feeling better after a couple or few wks you might actually be low in Iron. When your body is low in Iron you tend to feel run down, no or little energy, even tired alot of the times, when you never use to be as tired all the time. But before you go trying to consume Iron you should consult your Dr. to have some blood work done to test/check your Iron level. & since it'll probably be alittle while before you can get a car you can even go ahead w/ checking your Iron level now so tht way if tht is one of the problems you can get a start on tht while you save for your car. & if you don't want to go to the Dr. & get checked, you can start eating more iron rich foods. Such as leafy veggies like lettuce, spinach, etc. If you don't like tht there's eggs, most soups, red meat, raisins, clams, & strawberries are a great source as they have Iron & vitamin C. Vitamin C helps Iron to absorb in your body. But at the same time don't go & eat nothing but Iron rich foods as tht isn't good either. You can even check out these 2 health sites below. Well I hope I have been able to help you.

You need to join the US Armed Forces. This will get your mind off your problems, feel good about yourself, and you will get to kill people.

So it's a mental thing and not a physical (tired) problem?
If it's a mental thing and you'd like to be outdoors more often, I'd get rid (or turn off) any comforts at home that keep you there. Don't watch TV. Don't use the computer or keep your computer use to just 30 minutes per day. The other time you have available you'll figure out how to keep busy. I'd try to be around more people more often even if it's "painful". I've heard that after doing something everyday for 21 days straight, you can replace one bad habit with a good habit. Whenever you feel like going home, go to the gym or go for a walk or join a volunteer group. Try to live more one hour at a time. Good luck!
