My social anxietys are so bad I can't even go outside?

Question:
I am 14 and have had this for about a couple years in the past year I have been completely homebound I had to drop public school and enter independant education. I am now also taking SSRI's(serotonin) because I have been diagnoised with Body Dysmorphic Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder. When I am outside or around people I feel as if they are all laughing at the way I look and I am so unspeakibley hideous that I am unable to be sceen by other humans. If you don't know what Body Dysmorphic Disorder then read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/body_dysmor.
Not to mention this has effected my school work and overall functioning I am also un-able to get a haircut either it is so overwhelming. I know get haircuts from my dad(and he is not even good at it) Am also in counceling and going to be in Cognitive Behavourial Therapy soon but these anxietys are so over-whelming I can't do anything every morning I feel like suiciding because my parents fight all day and am bored ALOT.

Dear Zachariah! I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling that bad, but let me tell you one thing - people can cure their social anxiety! If you would ask me to give example, here is one - my fiancee. He was just like you - droped down university, didn't see his friends, didn't leave his home and plus he has also schizoaffective disorder and he's on heavy medications. It sounds bad doesn't it? Well excapt that he found good med for his illness, his social anxiety is SO much better then it use to be! He is back on his university! He sees friends and does stuff that use to be impossible before!. CBT is very good for you! Point in social anxiety is to stay in conntact with things that you are scared of because you need to make yourself comfertable in it and after couple of times see that it's not so scary as it seems! Only way to do all that is not to lock yourself inside your home. I know it's hard but nobody said it's gonna be easy, right?
I just wanted to send you possitive energy and to add that it's curable and you can do it! :) I'm sending all my support, coz I know how it feels - after all i had somebody i deeply care about in a same situation!

I feel for you. I have a touch of Social Anxiety Disorder too. I get extremely nervous around people but then again I am Bipolar and have a few other problems too.

The only thing that I can tell you to do is to stay on the meds and stay in therapy it will help you.

I am very sorry that you had to drop out of Public school and it sounds like you have a very severe case of it.

Hopefully with the meds and therapy eventually you will be able to overcome the problem and be successful in society.
I have dealt with major social anxiety problems myself. I am much better now, but I still somtimes have trouble going out and meeting people. Are you a Christian? Finding God was the only thing that has helped me with my serious problems. Try praying and asking God to help you through this. Don't give up on yourself or God. Things will get better for you. There's not much else I can say. Good luck to you. You are in my prayers.
