How do you know if you are crazy?

So if he doesn't know he's crazy.how would you if you are or not? Its puzzled me for quite some time and I thought I'd turn to the experts of craziness here on youqa.com!

well. if he was ranting on and on to no one, people would think he's crazy because u usually rant on and on to someone who's actually there besides himself. i think crazy people lose the sense of reality. somehow they live in 2 worlds in their minds and then combine them. eventually they don't know what's reality and what's not. i dont think the crazy people know they're crazy but others would know it. just like u thought the guy was probably WACKED.your natural instincts made u aware that this is not normal for him to be ranting to himself.

LOL! The guy you are refering to may not be crazy, just lonely. Sometimes when people are lonely they do strange things like talk to themselves.
you wouldnt know we might be all crazy and the people that are crazy to us might be normal ok now im confusing myself good ? i am feeling crazy now or normal AHHHH weird now i know what u mean by being puzzled by it
this is the thing about dementia.you DONT know and its unfortunate.think about this.if you knew then that would mean you had the choice of behaving that way which would actually make you NOT crazy.i see those types of people occasionally too and whats sad is that they are usually alone..so who's watching them?.we wouldnt allow a 5 yr old child to be walking the streets alone would we
what's worse. someone walking down the street yelling obssenities to the air. or someone shooting up people for no reason.
You aren'y psychologically aware you're mad, when ur mad. You get thrown in an asylum. You don't know u r crazy, and you probably never will, i don't think there is a cure for insanity.
Well, there're different types of crazy. But, the really crazy, like schizophrenia and stuff like that, I doubt the person could know by him/herself that he has it.
I've though the same thing, what if I'm crazy, and all my world is just an illusion? This is weird.
people around you would notice the change, when you go for a physical your doctor would notice and they could give you tests and so forth-- the guy might of just been drunk or high. and classifing people-- some people could be crazy but they might make the best of friends!

Most people that are "crazy"; having a serious mental problem, do know that something is wrong with them. A person could act crazy if they're on drugs also.
