I would think that my Dad preferred Heavy music rather than country. Take it cool dude your dad like to ROCK!!! I am almost 50 and I tell my kids that The Doors were the greatest rock band ever and if you figured it out right now if Jim Morrison had lived he would be 63 right now. Listen to him sounds pretty cool to me!! Rockin in Detroit! You go pops

John Kay the voice of steppenwolf, is almost 63 years old now, we saw him in concert in Elmira NY, a few years ago he looks great and still rocks and is a very very good guitar player he plays a Rickenbacker guitar, he did the" pusher "and it was fantastic. more tidbits the very dark glasses that was his trademark was for real because he is completely color Blind and very light sensitive. or (photophobia) so your dad is only 7 years older than john Kay!, and it sounds like he is pretty Darn hip Also!!
