Coz when we sleep, our subconcious which is found at the back of our heads remains awake.
It`s the work of the subconscious mind (our unwanted thoughts, unfulfilled wishes) resurfacing through our dreams
OUR BRAIN'S GOT THIS THING THAT CREATES THE PICTURE FOR US. WE SEE IT AT THE BACK OF OUR MIND. WITHOUT EYES.

why have conscious n sub-conscious... when we r up, whatever we see or talk, both conscious n sub conscious recieve that.when we go to sleep, our conscious take rest but our sub conscious still keep awake, n project things wht it had recieved in the form of dream...well sometimes we see true dreams thts unexplianed.thts is some times explained on basis of waves transmision ..

I think that dreams are our astral/ethereal bodies leaving our physical bodies during sleep and traveling to other planes of consciousness during sleep.
