Any teenagers with ADHD?
Question:
Answers:
I don't personally have ADHD, but my little brother and several other people in my family have it. I have seen that no, it does not affect people very much when it comes to their lives. My brother goes to school and is constantly running around, bouncing off the walls (since ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). The most problems I've seen with ADHD are disciplinary. ADHD makes you think faster than normal, and some people cannot always make the best judgement when it comes to getting into trouble or staying out of it. There are several medicines for ADHD, but alot of them have side effects of every kind. My brother was on a generic medicice for Ridilin and it caused him to get into more trouble. He'd fight alot more and didn't seem to care what happened to him. He is now 12 and has been on several different types of medication since he was 10. I'm not saying that meds are the only way to help someone with ADHD, but it's the easiest way, and more adaptable to any type of lifestyle, which makes it easier for someone to live a normal life.
I hope this helped. Sorry I babbled on!

i have friend that are.but sometimes i think people just use it as an excuse to be out of order..hyper..and all that other stuff
no. there aren't any teenagers Or anyone for that matter with "adhd" there's no such thing as "adhd" it's just a fad excuse to misbehave.
I'm going to take a risk here and suggest that anyone who has a psychiatric/behavior disorder is further seriously risking their mental and physical health by abusing Coricidin - a.k.a. Skittles. Not only can overdosing result in liver damage, but also death!
Are you taking medication for the ADHD? If so, are you compliant (taking it as prescribed by your physician)? If you're not taking medication, you could benefit from it. If your are taking meds, then you shouldn't be experiencing the hyperactivity.
Another thing that might be beneficial is biofeedback/relaxation exercises.
Good luck to you!
My son was born ADHD and now he is 20 although he still has problems with impulses (he takes Concerta) the hyperactivity is gone. He has been on medication for this since he was 5 started with Ritalin , Dexedrine, then a new doctor put him on Paxil that was a big mistake, now he's on Concerta and fine,. Please go to a Doctor for advice but the school should have noticed by now , my son got it noticed in kindergarten. I think the older you get you learn to modify your self . Are you sure it's not a caffeine problem? Watch your diet for sugar or caffeine or even allergies if this problem is just now developing.
