If the brain does not have pain receptors, how do we get headaches?

Question:

Answers:
Headaches can come from any of a number of sources, some in your head, others not.the common tension headache actually originates in spasm of the muscles of the neck and shoulder areas; migraines are one form of vascular headache, which originate in the blood vessels of the head; pressure headaches (from tumors or fluid problems) come from traction on blood vessels and nerves that become distorted; there are a few pain receptors in certain places in the meningeal coverings of the brain.

Other Answers:
Constriction of the blood vessels

They say its the muscle spasms in your face and head, that gives you headaches. That is why they have a "stick" for migranes now, that you rub on your forehead.

I dont know, because I dont suffer from headaches.(Of course, if the wife is asked, I maybe the one giving her, her headaches :)

I wish you well..

The pain receptors are in the tissues that surround the brain on the inside of the skull, parts of the face, and on the scalp as well. most headache pain is actually from the muscles in your neck
