SSRI's and cold medicine.?

Question:
I have a sinus infection and want to shoot myself in the head. (not really) I take Zoloft and Vistaril and was wondering if theres any cold medicine I should stay away from. I know many cold medicines interact with MAOI's (what doesn't these days huh?) but what about SSRI's? Thanks in advance.

Answers:
I have the same problems, I am using SSRIs and I have Sinusitis.
I have tried almost all cold medications. Nothing bad happened to me. Could you try new generation cold medications like Desloratadine, Fexofenadine, Levoceterizine, Ebastine, Rupatadine etc... ?
Escitalopram and citalopram causes the least drug interaction among SSRIs.

You can find drug interaction information from the internet.

They all have sedative effects. My pill book says not to take Vistaril with antihistamines for this reason. Nothing about Zoloft and cold medicine.
