yes I believe so my brother was taking paxil at 10 or 12 years old and he did nothave any sucidal thoughts or any bad side effects from it If it was prescribed, call your doctor and tell them your concerns. Most meds have VERY conservative precautions on them.

I have been on Paxil for years. But when I was your age, they prescribed me Zoloft. It does not have the same side effects. May be something to suggest to your doctor! I am a nurse, I have seen it prescribed to teens, as long as you take as prescribed and follow up with your Dr. it should be safe. If you are unsure, get a second opinion from another psychiatrist.
