What foods should you eat to help with taking a test?

My daughter is taking FCATS today. What kinds of food will help with brain power for the test?

vitamin B complex claims to be excellent for brain power and helps in focusing.
vit A for her eyes-she'll be doing a lot of reading.

a regular meal is important and timing is critical. our brain needs fuel and our body runs on food. the meal should be taken an hour or two before the exam. the reason for this is that after a meal your body will concentrate on digestion so body compensates by increasing blood flow to the digestive system. the blood is the supplier of the battery power and you want the power to be more on the brain at this point. 2 hrs is optimum time for digestion.

oily food should be avoided for the reason that fats are harder to digest (same body response as above)this is the same reason why after a hearty meal you feel sleepy.

if she gets nervous ask her to bring immodium and take it before the exam. its a natural for stomach to get upset - loperamide(generic name) asks the brain to send signals to calm it down.
