Does anyone know anything about ADHS in adults, and the best way to treat it without psychopharma?

Question:
My doctor wants to prescribe Ritalin, but I am sceptical. I have read alot about negative side-effects.

Answers:
Yeah, avoid drugs if you can.

It is more commonly referred to as ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

WebMD has an article about it at:
http://www.webmd.com/content/article/89/100385.htm

And Wikipedia has information at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adult_attention-deficit_disorder

And you can find more information by browsing through these Yahoo web search results:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=adult+onset+adhd&fr=yfp-t-500&toggle=1&cop=&ei=UTF-8

And from Google:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adult_attention-deficit_disorder
Many adults are being mis diagnosed with ADHD, and Ritalin affects the heart, I would have reservations if I were you, consult another Doctor, Have you had a sleep disorder done...Take Care, and Good Luck.
