Answers:
Yes I'm on Lithium and Bipolar. It has been the best med for me. Many people do experience negative side effects with it, but it has had the least horrible side effects out of all the mood stabilizing medicines. I have gained a little weight (10 lbs) but I don't know if I can attribute that all to the med. Also, it does effect me cognitively. I'm more forgetful and sometimes slower to think, but it is much better than the other meds I've been on for it. If you can tolerate Lithium, it is a wonderful med. If not, it can be a nightmare.
