Whoa people. Let's not get nasty. I think that there are some great examples from both sexes of real intellect. Not all men think that they're smarter. I have had some real good discussions with women and I feel that there are some very brilliant female minds out there. Those men who "think" that they are should put their money where their mouths are!! I would bet on most women. I consider myself smart, however, I am sure that there's a women somewhere who's smarter. I won't make her feel bad that she is however. And I, will never gloat like a jack***!!

Easy I am smarter than you. That's my ego talking. Sometimes ego of men and reality are the same.

Because we let them. They have to have that superiority feeling inside to be productive and have confidence so us women pick our battles and choose to let them think that they are smarter. because they know that we are smarter than them thats why they cant face the facts

Not true, it's the other way around If some men try to be smart then don't even care about them because you know being smart doesn't depend upon your sex.

i think women are smart but they looking toward men. Its their nature.

The question is a very broad generalization. Not all men think they are smarter than women, and not all women think they are smarter than men.

There are areas of expertise that each gender has to offer. Most men are not as emotional as women and therefore tend to be more analytical about a situation or crisis; whereas women being the more emotional of the genders will go with her heart more often than not, even when her brain is giving her an entirely different set of facts upon which to base a decision.

Best case scenario is to allow each to draw upon their own strengths and make decision appropriate for a situation.

We don't think of it as being smarter--just as being logical and sticking to facts, leaving emotions out of the picture.

A man`s brain may weigh more than a woman`s, but the female brain has more connections between the left and the right hemisphere. That enables us (women) to do several tasks at the same time, and it would somehow explain the so called "feminine intuition", we are far more perceptive than men.
