what does it mean when people that chew gum the wrong way makes me furious? HELP!!!!?

I have always hated bad mannered mouth habits of anykind...chewing with your mouth opened, smacking, and talkiing with your mouth full...sucking through your teeth with your tongue...oh it drives me crazy...i have otten up and moved at movies because of the popcorn and at resteraunts because of annoying food habits.. and when somebody is chewing their gum with their mouth open i cant even stand to look at the...smacking their gum and popping outrages me....what in the hell do i do? This is a problem for me almost everywhere I go!!! And no offense but have you ever had to be around a colored person when they are chewing gum OH MY GOD!!!!and keep the chicken and ribs away too!!!!! please tell me what to do and be serious please!

No offense? First, your statement was racist and based on an ignorant stereotype. And you cannot use the term "colored". Just thought you should know that.

As for your neurosis, stop the negative thoughts and replace them with something more positive. Stop "what horrible manners that person has!" and make yourself think "that person simply has a different way of eating than I do." After a while of forcing yourself to have a different reaction, you won't have to force it anymore. It's just something that you picked up over time and reinforced (much like your racist stereotyping). Now you have to reinforce a different way of thinking about it.
i dont blame you. my biggest pet hate is slurping a drink grrrrrrr it right pees me off. just try and mentally block the sound out i know its hard but we are surrounded by foul mouthed mutants who have no food manners
