I've been taking Effexor XR (might be a diff. formula from yours), for over a year. My initial side-effects are similar to most of these types of meds, nervousness, feeling like I had too much coffee... I didn't have anything so uncomfortable that I couldn't bear it for 3 or so weeks - until it leveled in my system. Initially, there will be minor side-effects for the first month or so. If they are severe, definitely see your Dr. :)
