Why do bad things happen to good people?

Their karma is in good order. Are they in denial about their intentions? Is it a test or to show them how far they've come in life when they see how they handle it?

bad things happen to ALL people. No one is exempt or perfect, we are all fallible and human. I do believe that worse things happen to people who put bad out there .but as for anything negative or bad..it happens to us all!!

Yes, I often wonder this myself, but I guess bad things have to happen to all people to teach us about life and to make us stronger so that we can handle whatever life throws us, good & bad.

my friends and i have debated this for years. i go out of my way to be a nice person and my friends have no problem being mean, rude and nasty to others. yet things just happen to me. my friends are always trying to figure out why, if something bad is going to happen to someone, it always happens to me. we're not sure if it's because of karma (perhaps i was a horrible person in a past life) or it's just the universe testing me or what. it's really annoying though.
