You need to see your doctor, not ask us. Usually they recommend switching medication. You should try and set up an appointment as soon as you can.
NOT TRYING TO SCARE YOU BUT TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR LIKE RIGHT AWAY. 7 YEARS IS A LONG TIME TO BE ON RITALIN. YOUR BRAIN COULD POSSIBLY NOT BE FUNCTIONING TO THE MEDICATION ANY LONGER AND COULD BE STARTING REVERSE EFFECTS FROM THE REASON YOU WERE PUT ON RITALIN. MY COUSIN WAS ON RITALIN FOR MANY YEARS AND I HOPE THIS DON'T SCARE YOU BUT HE IS NOT MENTALLY ALL THE WAY THERE NOW AND HE IS VERY NOT ACTIVE INSTEAD OF BEING VERY ACTIVE AND EVERYBODY BELIEVES IT IS BECAUSE OF THE RITALIN DOSAGE FOR ALL THOSE YEARS. HOPE NOT TO SCARE YOU BUT SINCE YOU POSTED THIS HOPEFULLY IT HAS SAVED SOMETHING BAD FROM HAPPENING.
