Has anyone experienced conversion disorder?
Question:
Answers:
According to neurologist I consulted, I am suffering from conversion disorder, or conversion reaction, as she termed it. This has been going on since mid-March. I'm getting really tired of it, too. I had an MRI brain scan and EEG brain evaluation, but no organic cause was found.
Next step will be to have my head examined from the outside by a therapist to find the the conflict that could be unconsciously causing this reaction with its physical symptoms.
My symptom include what my doctors term "abnormal jerking" whereby my body spasmodically jerks my limbs, my torso, even my hips. It comes on most when I'm resting, happens in my sleep and has progressed to the point that it can come at any time without much or any warning. It is a violent type of jerking motion that leaves me hurting across my chest, my shoulders and arms, my neck, and causes headaches at times. It is now occurring up to seven times a day like this. I have no good idea why its happening but I'm about ready to do all I can to get rid of it.
Don't know if you're experiencing this problem, but if so, I sympathize with you. Hope what I've given you is of some help.

I tend to get tongue tied, when I'm talking to someone new. I also get tongue tied when I'm trying to do something else (cleaning, cooking, etc..), and trying to talk at the same time. I'm also tongue tied when someone asks me something, I didn't expect.
