I don't know what "risperdal" is.. but if u observed that it makes you feel sleepy, so it's true
yup if this continues and you dont seem to build a tolerance to the drug see your doctor about lowing your dose or trying another med. These are potentially irreversible, uncontrollable, slow or jerky facial or body movements that can be caused by all medications of this type. If you have these symptoms, talk to your health care professional. A rare but serious side effect that has been reported with this kind of medicine, including RISPERDAL, is known as NMS or neuroleptic malignant syndrome. NMS is characterized by muscle rigidity, fever and can be serious. continue taking your med and consult your doctor if this becomes worse. It can take some time for this med to work so give it time. a sudden stop could be worse than sleeping all day..
YES, prescibribed for bipolar it can make you sleep, gain weight among other side affects, i was on it for awhile & didnt like the side effects, usaully precribed when a person is on a "high" episode, you should talk to your dr. about abilify prescribed for bipolar it does the same thing w/ no side effects Ive had good sucsess with this ,its fairly new, but Ive been onn it for a while & it doesnt make you tired or gain weight !
