Lexapro side effects. Anyone had sweating and racing heart?

Question:
My doc put me on lexapro for anxiety and post partum. I tried taking it at night but, felt like a zombie all day. It worked well for me in the morning. Lexapro was an instant. I did not know how stressed I was until I started taking it.I kept breaking out in sweats really bad and racing heart sometimes? Has anyone else done this? Should I give it time. I was on 1 week. They switched me to celexa and that was worse. She wanted to try wellbutrin xl. Insomnia, sweats, and feeling drugged out. I liked lexapro best. Just wanting to know if the side effects subside. I wonder if there is a natural alternative? My hubby really thinks I need something and I'm ready to say the heck with it. I have 3 boys. My 3 yr. old is autistic not verbal. A great boy.. and I have a baby girl that is 2 months old now. The other 2 boys are 10 and 12. I have no probs with my kids, I just stay really busy and no help. The med really helps me cope. Thanks for looking. I am open for advice.

I have experienced the racing heart beat while on Lexapro. When I first started taking it (one week ago) I felt like I was high. As I let my body adjust to it, I felt way better. It is true that it takes a couple of weeks for you to adjust to the medicine. There are also two people in my house hold who have been on it for years. They felt the same way but over time they adjusted to it. I never could sleep at first either. I started taking it at night but switched to the morning. After 5 days went by I started sleeping really good. If you get on the internet and look up the side effects of Lexapro, some people say it causes them to feel sleepy. So hun give your body time to adjust before you switch. Too much switching can make things way worse.
You can take Lexapro in conjunction with something to combat the side effects, such as Klonapin. That combo worked for me for a long time. I highly suggest Lexapro. I was on it for three years!
