What purpose does this question serve? been there-done that as a bipolar, but if you are going to have any hope of a satisfying quality of life, you need to have counseling/get on Rx for depression, because it CAN make a difference! Move on with you life, create some change or you will continue to wallow in your own self pity/self destruction. Well if you think of this life as a learning experience then mental problems make their own sense. It's not that the symptoms are new, it's how the individual deals with the problem, how you face the challenge. Whether you allow it to destroy you or whether you destroy it. If you push forward or move backwards. Do you learn? Or do you need another lifetime?
