Question:
Answers:
I think you better get yourself to the Mental Health ER, if your area has one, of just the regular ER if it doesn't. That isn't a side effect that I have heard of from Prozac. Either way, you should NOT stop those kinds of meds cold turkey EVER as that can cause you worse problems.
So, get offline--Call 911 right now and tell them you think you might be having a med reaction to the Prozac, as you are having these symptoms. You need to go now--gl. Our thoughts are with you.

Call a pharmacist and a health helpline. Your dosage must be high or something. Talk to an ER med nurse or something or go to an ER at a hospital would be the best.
Same thing happened to me from prozac. Don't mind the voices. You may have to stop prozac all together, but you'll certainly have to lower it at the least. I was in a very dangerous situation once this occurred because I let it go on for months and it just got worse, but it was fun. The problem is I became delusional and started believing what I wanted to from the voices. Don't ruin your life. If you're feeling suicidal, just don't do it. I've found the mental hospital to be a waste of money. Going to sleep is your best bet. If it gets to be too much tomm. check yourself in at the hospital. Meds will get rid of it. Don't freak out.
I was put on Prozac once, and my sister stopped me in our hallway by my shoulders. She told me I needed to go back to he doctor, because I had been yelling, not sleeping, and not eating for 4 days. He took me off of that and put me on Paxil. I don't remember much about that, except that I realized I had married a Mexican I barely knew, who ended up back in prison.Suggest I take anything else?
First, try to do whatever you can to remain calm. Drink some water, turn the TV on and flip it to a harmless channel (Food Network or Nick@Nite). Then see if there is a pharmacist you can call. I hope I'm correct, but Walgreens pharmacists should be available 24/7, so call them ASAP. I just started on Lexapro about 4 weeks ago. I had one mild hallucination night, and it was because I couldn't sleep. I could somehow feel the medication working on me and it felt like an adjustment period of sorts. Since then, I've felt wonderful! Stay strong. I hope you feel better sweetie!
You can't just stop taking your medication, this can effect you, you need to weaned off.
This sounds like side effect of the drug, of your illness has found new ways to manifest it's self.
You need tot all to a Dr or some one who knows your case, call your psychiatrist and see if someone can lend you some support.
This is not a good sign.I don't know what your diagnosis is but when things like this happen after one starts a medication for his depression p-docs usually think of a second diagnosis which is bipolar.Because when used solely, mosy anti depressants can play a big role in triggering one's mania. And most manic depressives were diagnosed after their brain's abnormal response to the anti depressants,by having symptoms like yours whose reason might be mania.
If you're using a high dosage, lower it to half.Take only the half of the dosage your doctor prescribed you.If you're allready taking a low dose, cut the meds off especially you have the symptoms of insomnia, agitation, and hallucination, and loss of control on your thoughts.
