Who is the paragon of Mental Health?

Question:
What are all these disorders based on? Order? What kind of order. It has to be instantiated in some particular. If it isn't then that's just absurd. Might as well kill myself now. Seriously, that's why Socrates drank the hemlock.

Dr. Phil?
Tibetan Monk?
George Bush?
Brad Pitt?
Calista Flockheart?
Freud?
Charles Manson?
Hillary Clinton?
Mother Theresa?
Che Guevarra?

Answers:
I would say Tibetan Monk but for a different reason to the one stated by TheHza. All the rest are specific people, and would if probed relentlessly, would show some degree of mental health problem or personality disorder. Even the late mother Theresa's relentless work with the sick would probably register as an obsessive blip on some psychologists radar. The deviation from the norm model seems an arbitrary tool as is required.

None of these people are normal except the Tibetan monk; In his fictionalised, idealised, nonexistent state, he is as normal as peoples imaginations require him to be. He doesn't exist, so by default he cannot be insane. He is, therefore the paragon of mental health.

Edit; Dr Phil's a Psychopath, I'm willing to bet money on that!

Other Answers:
Okay, lay off the catnip. But to give you my opinion, because I am not a doctor nor do I know these people, I'd have to say of the choices given, Mother Teresa.

My Mother was the paragon of menta; health and so is yours! If she isn't then check out the woman who raised you! You will find out that women are the ones who usually pick up the pieces of shattered men and then slowly and patiently put them back together again Socrates was teaching the youth the secrets of society even as it is today and he was being driven out of town by the winner-players. Go figure!

Well let me see here. Homer Simpson. He's reasonably well rounded. Oh, the disorders are based on symptoms found in the DMV IV Put together by a bunch of tight arses trying to make a buck, and the world bought into it.

"These children that come at you with knives, they are your children. You taught them. I didn't teach them. I just tried to help them stand up."

Charles Manson, during his trial.

We have no paragon of mental health, only the doomed.

*Edit: Also, "The only difference between the Sane and the Insane, is IN and yet within this world, the Sane have the power to have the Insane locked up."

Hunter S. Thompsn

Hey brainy, do you need me to fix you up with a date. I doing that gay thing though, you'll have to figure that out yourself. I'm sorry, are you jealous because no one ever likes your questions enough to pick them as a best answer? grow up you moron. it is an individual choice for best answer, that's why the questioner gets to pick it and not you.

They found that meditation can increase the size and activity of the front of your left lobe and shrinks the activity of the right. The right apparently is the source of feelings of fear and anger. The left seems to be where positive, constructive feelings come from. Tibetan monks practice meditiation, and are aware of this, so they are directly and actively pursuing positive, constructive feelings. I would say that makes them paragons of mental health.

please kill yourself now and spare us all your edicts

Why me of course (hehehe). All of us humans are a bit odd and those who don't seem to be are just better actors. The only sane thing to say is that we're all insane in varying degrees. Whoever is compared to him/her self.

Same as with perfection.

Everyone is perfect compared to their own person.

Imperfection and mental illness, are subjective perceptions that emerge from comparison.
