At what point in your career do you say "That's enough! I can't do this anymore."?

Question:
I work as a nurse. I see death and dying every day. It causes me a great deal of stress. I am questioning the whole point of dragging out the inevitable. The problem is that I spent a lot of money on my education, and I have to support my children. This is all know how to do.

Answers:
take the training that you do have and switch to something less demanding and less death and dying. physical therapy, occupational therapy, home health, working with handicapped children or adults, xray technician, and many other occupations. it might take a little more training but i would think you have the majority of it already out of the way. everyone should love their job, if you dont like what you do anymore, make a change. look around and see what other things you could do and then decided what you would enjoy doing. opportunities are out there if you just keep looking the right one will come along. Good luck to you!
What will you answer to your kids when they ask the same question?
