Just moved to a new town....need help?

Question:

I just moved to a new town. I barely no anyone, we moved in april so I had no time to meet anyone. The problem is I am going into 9th grade and have a major social anxiety disorder, but I want to get to know people and get comfortable being around people. Suggestions?

Aww, that's what happened to me in sixth grade.

What I would do is to meet the neighbors and see if anyone is your age, start chatting and you will make some friends. Ask your parents if any of their friends have kids your age and go on from there. Myspace and xanga are great ways of getting to meet and know someone better too.
