I am on lexipro, have been for about 2 years I think it is listed as a side effect however i havent had a problem w/ wieght gain w/ it most drugs list side effects that occur in some people & not others there are lots of anti depressents out there if its a problem talk to your dr. there are plenty more that he can precribe to you though I think almost all of them list weight gain as a POSSABLE side effect

Other Answers:
My husband takes it and he has not gained any wieght.
He has been on it for a year or more and no weight gain at all.

It is a listed side effect.
I was 98lbs when I started taking it, I'm now 132lbs. I'm finally off it now, thank god! Lexapro is very very addictive, I went through very serious withdraw.

165 -> 180

I've been running, lifting, whatever.and can't lose a pound! Weight seems stable though regardless of physical activity or diet. Pulse seems higher, BP a little higher.

I have been on it and I have had the opposite effect. It is known that anti-depressent decrease your appetite, perhaps its a differeent medication or you have something else going on.
