Have you ever taken Zoloft?

Question:
If so, did you ever have the adverse effects like twitching (myoclonus)?

Answers:
Yes I was on zoloft for 3 weeks. Personally I hated the drug, not only did I twitch, I vomited, was a walking zombie, acting like I had Alzheimers. I would stare at the tv with no sound going lost in space. God , I hated that drug. I even would call my husband and talk no sense to him, like I was hallucinating.
Every drug affects everyone differently though, I do know I could not take it after 3 weeks, My doc took me off and put me on Lexapro. No side effects so far after 4 weeks. My body must like it.
If that twitching becomes too bothersome let your doc know. That is why you pay them.
Good luck with that drug, personally I hated it.
I haven't but my daughter did. She didn't twitch or have any other side effects. But meds affect everyone differently.
Yes, have taken Zoloft, it is one of the "milder " antidepressants, I think, whereas Prozac was "icky" for me--3 weeks before it took effect, continued thoughts of depression/suicide, nightmares, etc.

Zoloft caused twitching in me a little, initially. I have notice twitching more when I have (accidentally) missed a dose of more than one day.

So keep on taking it if it is prescribed for you, it is prescribed for a reason !

Good luck and God bless as you handle this roadblock of depression. It's a real drag ! But you will come out of it !

(If I have provided the information that you need, please choose it to end the discussion and rate it. Thank you !
I take zoloft and I have noticed twitching. I didn't know it was because of zoloft. Anyway, when you take it, don't stop suddenly. You have to take it everyday and when you feel a whole lot better, wean off of it verrrrrry slowly and under the guide of a physician.
I used to take it. I also experienced twitching but it went away after a few weeks.
no i did not get effects like twitching but I got effects like feeling my brain was running all of the time, my thoughts never switched off, even sleep felt like i was up all night thinking and i could remember everything very clearly
