Why are some children abused if they haven't had time to gather bad karma?

karma is collected from all lives not just the current one in the belief system. Therefore, that person had some wicked bad karma in a last life.
Well if you believe in karma then one would discern that you believe in reincarnation as well. So, I guess they were bad people in their past lives? I feel guilty just writing that because I think it's horrible to say that all the children in hospitals right at this moment are facing some sort of karma. I'm just not a religious person because I can't have faith in any God that would allow them to die. Child abuse has nothing to do with karma. It has to do with people being abused as children. When your parents abuse you, that's the only way you know how to act when you have children of your own--you don't know any other way. So abusive parents were abused children. Abused children become abusive parents; the cycle just continues and continues until it somehow stops. Usually the abused children have to be removed from the home and be with different parents so that they can learn how to be a REAL parent when their time comes.
