I dont know whts the problem, but i hope ur feeling much better today.
When i am Sad, I try an isolate myself from everyone..its could be for days in certain cases. plug on my ipod andlisten to some soothing songs.. may be Lucky Ali. Then i take out my best novel / book and start reading it.I have noticed at such times reading mystery novels really helps, it diverts the mind. but then u cant really ignore the source of sadness.. if its serious issue then u need to work on the issue itself.
Sadness is just a state of mind, there is a saying "I was sad that i didnt get a new pair of shoes, but was happy when i saw someone with no Legs" Try to distinguisg between inconveinence and problems.

Try doing something active and getting outside. If you cannot handle going out do some exercises inside.

take a walk through the park. i think first you need to find the reason that you are so sad and work on fixing the problem if the problem can't be fixed then try and get your mind off of it. Put on some music you love, be silly & dance around the house.YES, seriously - try it ;-)
Do something that you love to do. If you are sad a lot then you could have clinical depression. Go to your doctor you can get medication for it. But you can also cure yourself if it isn't a chemical inbalance in your body. Think positive thoughts and try not to let anything break your spirit.

Pray to God to help you find joy again. Read the Bible. Help a friend in need. Volunteer. Give to charity. Giving may make you feel better! Read a self-help book. Do something fun that makes you happy. Stay busy- that will reduce chances for thinking about the sadness. I know it's not easy, but try to think positive. That will definitely help. Depends on why you are sad.. if you are just depressed for no reason.. you may have a bout of clinical depression. which i have dealt with. I would try the following: eat some chocolate. exercise.. drink LOTS of water.. eat fruits and vegetables. go shopping. talk to someone about it. and if all of that doesn't work.. go to a psychiatrist and they can discuss possible treatments for you. don't just be sad for no reason though.. you have to do something about it or you will just be miserable. If you are feeling overwhelming sadness, with no apparent cause that you can pinpoint; if you are not eating properly, not sleeping well or sleeping excessively, then you may be suffering from clinical depression.
Only a doctor can diagnose this. There are many medications available to deal with this condition.

Hi SURABHI, first of all let me tell you that you have got a very beautiful name,which sounds very interesting and beautiful. YOu can overcome your sadness very easily. you yourself have to make your mind distract from what is making you sad. talk to your friends,elders from the family.Life is to enjoy and keep sailing through it. there will be many obstructions ,but then you have to put an effort to make yourself smile. take time to Help others,bring smile on other's faces.. I am sure it will help you alot. i ALWAYS TRY TO TAKE MYSELF FOR A NICE TREAT. like shopping, having icecream,chocolates etc .all the best sweetie If you are old enough,you could go out to the bars with some girlfriends.
