Is it okay to drink on Lexapro? or any other antidepressant?

Question:
any personal stories welcome!!

Answers:
I am on Lexapro and my doctor told me it was not a good idea. It can allready make you drowsy and unaware. Just think if you drink.

Other Answers:
It should be. They have to say warnings to get off of any legal issues.

No. Alochol is a depressant, it could make you even more depressed. Probably not.

No it is not ok to drink on any anti-depressant. It can actually make you more depressed and suicidal

Well Im sure its not ok as with any other meds but I take Lexapro everyday and I drink on occasion with it and it hasnt bothered me but I guess its according if you drink everyday or once inawhile or what Im not sure I just know I do once in a great moon!hahaha

I don't have any personal story to share, wish I did, to tell you about what I learned from taking an antidepressant and then drinking alcohol but I can tell you that it is not okay to do it! It says it right on the bottle, no way! Not a good choice, find something else you can drink and have fun without drinking liquor! It is ok to drink water, juice, milk etc with Lexapro or any other antidepressant, haha!! ; ) no.ask your doctor,he will tell you,if you really want to know.

no it's not..
honestly, though, i occasionally drink when i'm on an antidepressant..but only one drink..and nothing bad has happened..but it could.
could be dangerous.
alcohol's a depressant, so you'd think it would just temporarily cancel out the effects of an antidepressant..but i'm told that's incorrect.

no I know of people killing their selves ending up on 6th floors drinking makes different things happen depending on the antidepressant.

I know stories none of them good
