I consider this to be Hypochondria. Below is an explanation from the Wikipedia website. Hope it helps.
Hypochondria (or hypochondriasis, sometimes referred to as health anxiety or health phobia) is a somatoform disorder in which one has the unfounded belief that he or she is suffering from a serious illness. Hypochondria is often characterized by irrational fears of being diseased/dying, obsessions over minor bodily symptoms or imperfections, doubt and disbelief in doctors' diagnosis, constant self-examination and self-diagnosis and preoccupation with one's body. Hypochondriacs often require constant reassurance, sometimes from multiple doctors, family and friends.
Hypochondria is often associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety, and can also be brought on by stress.

hypocondriac
The word you are looking for is hypochondriac. It is a mental disorder. If she has it she should get counseling. im not sure the spelling but she's a hypercondriact.
Take her to the doctor every single time she complains, after a while she will get the message, going to the doctor is a drag!
It's hypochondria, and it's a mental illness. If your father is around talk to him about it, maybe he can talk to your mother's doctor about getting her into counseling.
its called hypochondriasis.. she should consult a psychiatrist.. hypochondriac
hydrophobia ;)
For your mom to resolve all this she needs to have a COMPLETE PYHSICAL WORKUP done on herself AND I MEAN COMPLETE full physical,x-rays,blood work EVERYTHING CHECKED AND RECHECKED.And if there is anything wrong with her she can have it treated, and if the tests show nothing wrong then you can take all the wind out of her arguments about being sick with the doctors reports. And if she keeps pushing the point then it's time for her to have a mental evaluation.
The word you're searching for is "hypochondriac" which describes a mental concept of imagined symptoms which affect behavior patterns and general health. But a doctor will tell you to compare this to the healthy attitudes of modern women seeking their own answers to what ails them. Doctors have been listening to their patients' descriptions and finding them very important for making a true diagnosis. Imagined symptoms can be very real.. They're called 'psychosomatic.'
A solid approach (to both help her and also avoid your hearing complaints all the time) would be to try to spend more time with her to show her things to do that would keep her mind off herself .and give her something else to talk about.
