I think I have anxiety attacks...HELP!?

Question:
I worry way too much for my own good. Is this normal? Or is it something that needs to be treated?

Answers:
worrying is not the same as a panic attack. A panic attack is a total, physical freak-out, where you get a thumping heart, sweats, dizziness, gasping breath, etc. Since it doesn't gewt triggered by anything threatening, the fear is really frightening because It Makes No Sense. Then, they can happen more, ironically because you are afraid of the panic attack.

Unless you are having true attacks, don't worry. Learn to relax more. Most people are tense and stressed out. Take a class in deep breathing or something! I drink chamomile tea instead of coffee (caffeine - and nicotine too - just gets people even more tense)...

Drugs are overrated and not appropriate for everyone.
it's normal in the since that it happens to lots, and i mean lots, of people.. but no, your body is not meant to deal with that much stress and it can be bad for your health.. the best thing to do is to figure out what is causing the anxiety and to try and alter your life to lessen it, but if you aren't able to do that talk to your doctor and he/she can put you on anti anxiety meds. you can also consider counseling to help you cope with your stress.
