anyone started weaning off paxil and wanting to try something different to help with anxiety and depression?

Question: Paxil as a known fact causes the dreaded weight gain but helps anxiety-does anything else after weaning off paxil help like cymbalta with anxiety and depression like paxil without weight gain?

Hi...as you may know you are taking an SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor). You may want to ask a doctor to prescribe you a different medicine in this category like Prozac. Cymbalta is also not a bad option but it works a little differently affecting a different neurotransmitter caller Norepinephrine. Good luck :)

effexor is what I am on and it did wonders... and i didnt gain or loose weight from it...
some people i know took welbutrin and lost weight, when i took it I took the original "purple pill" welbutrin and lost 15 lbs. i lost my appetite but it came back like 3 months later...
