Have you ever been hypnotized? Describe the experience -?

Question:

Answers:
There are different types of hypnotism. You are more than likely thinking about the hypnotism that you see on Saturday morning cartoons where a guy waves a pendulum in front of someone else's face then their eyes start swirling around. No!

Really hypnotism is just to make someone more suggestable. They will obey people who they would not normally listen to. In that case, yes, I have been hypnotized. "Brainwashing" is more what most people refer to it as. Ask any member of the armed services who knows about hypnotism, and they can tell you all about it.

For smoking, and it was horrible. It sent me into a huge depression. And then, didn't even work!

Oh Yeah when u are hypotized it is like being asleep but a kind of asleep where u are able to do things, you don't know what is happening to you but when u come of it is was like u just had a long peaceful nap, like u could never feel better.. It was underwhelming, for me. I'm not very susceptible to it, though. I did it to overcome my fear of flying. And it DID help, a bit, anyway.

Like a deep, deep meditation.

I did it 3 times for smoking,( found out later that if you really dont want to stop it wont work) I did it for my husband. It was great! I was so relaxed I rememberd most of it when she brought me out I was so refreshed and full of energy I felt great! best I ever felt without drugs or alcohol. I had ZERO urge to smoke for 4 days then all of a sudden I wanted a smoke RIGHT NOW> MY aunt and girlfreind went to the same lady right after I di about 20 yrs ago and never smoked again.!!
