Do you believe that it is possible to recover from borderline personality disorder?

Question:

Answers:
just like anyone else we can learn self control, discipline, and to evaluate our feelings and analyze what we are feeling and see that they may be unjust. I don't think anyone is ever magically better. this is something that constantly challenges us, and we'll always have to deal with it, but that's what's going to force us to grow as better people. It's a hurdle, not a wall. we can get over it. we can get thru it, and we can be stronger than it, and we can even beat it.

Other Answers:
yes. Borderline is usually a personality that you get from abuse and a hard time in your life resulting in skills to protect yourself. You can exercise and spend time relaxing and doing things that make you happy and to appreciate life and who you are. I stopped eating meat and I live on fresh vegetables and fruit. I no longer have the mood shifts and I am able to control myself when things are not like I want them to be. I used to be like a time bomb and if something did not go my way, I reacted and was sorry later. find out about natural remedies to help you to regulate your mood and calm yourself like chamomile tea and eat foods that are rich in oils like black walnut oil, and primrose oil. and use relaxing soaps and fragrances like lavender.
You can do what you want to do. You can be who you want to be.
Don't let anyone label you and put you into a box that says "Personality disorder". think about it..personality disorder.even the name is saying your personality is not acceptable.you are a human and not a thing.
Love yourself and give your body what it needs to be calm and happy. Think before you react, and feel things before you put up the walls.listen and make choices and be the person you would already be if you were not effected by the negative things in your life.don't let them change the beauty in you.

I have never seen it done. You should watch the movie "Girl, Interupped" (prob'ly spelled that wrong) because I think it would answer your question about "Borderline Personality Disorder".

In my own personal experience with Borderline Personality Disorder it seems like this diagnosis is a catch all of mental illnesses. As a lack of what exactly we have, many psychiatrists and psychologists refer us to this term. I personally am not aware as to one specific medication to help you or me or anyone with this "disorder". I've been on numerous anti-depressive drugs thru out the years and the only one that really helps me out is Cymbalta.

Yes you can recover from having Borderline Personality Disorder,if you are trully willing too that is. It takes a lot of hard work on your part and the willingness to talk to a counselor, therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist. Dig deep in your memory and detect the earliest you have felt bad towards yourself and improve your way of thinking and improve the way you respond to bad situations you encounter in your life. Acknowledge your strong points and all your accomplishments you have made thru out your life. Focus more on the good than the bad and you will feel better. No matter how bad situations may look to be or feel to be, consentrate on the good qualities you possess inside yourself. By doing this often, you will soon see that your life isn't as bad as you once thought it to be and this will boost your self esteem to new heights!

Don't give up on yourself!! Forge new avenues in your life. Remember you can move mountains if you choose too!
Good luck to you and I hope I was some help to you.hang in there!
