false suicide attempt and public records?

Question:
One of my friend thought that their girlfriend was going to commit suicide because they were in an argument although she never really said she was I guess. He called 911 and cops showed up at her house. She seemed to be in a stable condition and said she never planned on harming herself. Now my friends knows this was true and feels bad, even though he was happy he didn't take a chance. They are both wondering now if this report will be availible in public records. His gf is wondering how much information is legally public and if this file can somehow be made private since the police decided she was not going to harm herself. They would both like to have this file closed somehow if possible so his gf reputation is not ruined for something she didn't even do. What would be a way that this record could be protected from the public? Can this be considered a medical situation if an ambulance was not there? By the way this occured in WI.

Answers:
There will be a police report of the incident, however if she was not taken in or treated for depression, or sent for a psychological evaluation, it will state in the police report that all was ok and it was just a concerned boyfriend who made the call. She won't have "suicidal maniac" stamped on her criminal record or anything- lay this to rest and quit worrying about it.

Other Answers:
It will probably be in the police report. If it was a fake call, your friend would have been in trouble for making the call and given a fine. Since it wasn't a prank call, and a report was taken, it might be available to those who request is, such as court issues. Unless she was commited to a hospital, it would not be on her hospital record.
well i was not even aware that they would have made a record of it but hey i learned somethin new
I think it's very unlikely but your best way of knowing is to go to the hospital and ask for a copy of your records. Usually you can get them if you pay a small amount to collect them. When you are taking out life insurance and so on you need to declare things such as suicide attempts/depression so you need to be hoest in your answers incase they can find out some way but i t sounds like you are being honest in any case. Maybe you could also get a copy of the police report if available.

You have to first find out if the report stated you were in a suicidal state of mind in which i don't see because the officers did not have you committed. If its on the report, you can not withdraw it as it becomes permanent file on your record.
