Should I work with developmentally disabled people or mentally ill?

i have worked in the dd feild on and off for 10 years and i keep going back! i love that kind of work! you get so much satisfaction from the clients and the get satisfaction from you as well! but you do have to be able to handle that type of work because it can get stressfull and it doesnt pay much but the gratification is worth all the money in the world to me! i am going to school right now and that is what i want to major in! it is awsome to see these people change and know that you are the one that helped change them to be more independent or just to have a better quality of life!!!!!!! if you have the heart for it i say go for it!!! you wont regreat it!!

Developmentally Disabled. They usually have mental illness thrown in the mix,so you'll get both experiences :) I've worked with both populations.. I loved DD work.
