Does anyone know what a a yellow pill with A-160 printed on it is?

Question:
It's a capsule rather than a pill. I found it in the pocket of a friend's jacket, and I'm afraid she's using uppers and downers.

Answers:
I looked it up. It sounds like Phentermine.
Phentermine is a sympathomimetic amine, which is similar to an amphetamine. It is also known as an "anorectic" or "anorexigenic" drug. Phentermine stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which increases your heart rate and blood pressure and decreases your appetite.

Phentermine is used as a short-term supplement to diet and exercise in the treatment of obesity.

Phentermine may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

google pill finder. There are lots of websites where you can describe the pill and they will identify it for you.
a weight loss pill.

is she overweight..if she is underweight she may have an eating disorder.
you can always call a pharmacy and say just that you found this pill and they will tell you exactly what it is. No questions asked. Don't feel funny about doing this either. I have done this numerous times because I am a foster parent and have had to check pills before too.
The A-160 is stronger than the A-159. They were both developed by the same scientist in Austria in 1959. The Cold war was ramping up and Western Europe needed something the Russians could steal that would mess up their pharmaceutical intelligence department at the KGB. Uri Popov, the leading agent in the KGBs Pharm labs, was making knock offs of every drug the west had. This A-160 was a particularly nasty little bugger. It would clear up your sinuses in about 15 minutes but you'd lose 10 lbs in a couple of days. He was selling these things to African countries as vitamins. When they catch this guy, I hope they throw the book at him! Anyhow the Russian populace got a hold of it and that is what eventually won the cold war for the west.
Just remember.dope is for Dopes..and Russians who want to lose a few pounds when they have a cold.
