tell youself you are only going to do the avoided activity for 15 minutes. once you start you may decide to continue. This gets the ball rolling. so if you have a 4 hour job to clean the garage, tell yourself to just start and do 15 minute and then you can quit. If you feel like quitting do so and be glad you got part done and do the rest later, 15 minutes at a time. It feels good to do it and is better than nothing. or maybe you will feel like doing the whole job once you get started.
this gets you past the approach reluctance phase.
stop wasting time on things that arent important. i should do that too...
