OMG!
I use to drink Sun drop it is like MT dew but has more caffeine in it. During the time I drank sun drop I was going thur depression. I got a stomach virus and started drinking coke. I haven't been depressed since.. I remember telling someone about it.
The doctor told me later that maybe it wasn't depression it was my stomach..Since citrus drinks can upset the stomach.
I was a adult I knew what depression was. But you may have something there. I too did the same.

There are ingredients in all bottled beverages which can "Potentiate" a medication, no matter what it is. Some of course will have more of an effect upon you. Potentiation is the factor that qualifies to enhance or swell or even abate the medication in question. Aspartame is a culprit to some, citrus to others. It sounds so odd, however extensively I have learned that anything, from foods, to drink to other meds will cause the predominantly needed medication to react to whatever stimuli you have introduced. One certain thing is that drinking any beverage out of aluminum is dangerous. In the subjective, I cannot have citrus and oh do I crave it..it would change the way my body reacts to the pharmaceutical that is most important for my person. I hope that this information sheds a little light upon it, even though it will not solve anything, I thought when I saw the question it Might have a play in your situation.BTW I gave up Diet Pepsi and now there are other things that are no longer getting in the way of my feeling better.i.e. check the labels of what you buy, as it may or may not have an effect upon you. Best is to consult with a Pharmacist, they are generous with their information and it's been a world of help to me. Thanks.
