Is any one anxious all the time?


Question:
I can't relax no matter how much time I have. I have to get everything done first thing even if I have the entire day. If I am coming home from the grocery store and pick up the mail, I can't just put the mail down and put away the groceries. I have to be opening th mail, puting the groceries away and looking through any magazine I get at the same time. When I come home from work, I can't relax and I get started right away returning calls and checking email even though I have a couple hours before I go to bed. When I go out on an outing, instead of taking my time and enjoying myself, I tend to rush through coffee, lunch, shopping, etc so that I can mark it off my list. Everyone else seems to be able to relax and let the mail wait until later and take their time when they go out and stuff. I feel the need to be home early.

Answers:
Have you talked to a doctor about this? You could be suffering from Obsessive Compusive Disorder or something similar. There are medications that could help you. Hope this helps.

i kno the feeling. im the same way only i can do one job at a time. i just have to do it back to back. i cant take a break if theres something i know i have to do. its great with my bosses but when i get home its the same way. as soon as i walk in the door before i turn on my light, the computer goes on. and if i dont, i get a weird feeling in my spinal cord. It seems like you are pushing your way through life, too scared to stop and enjoy yourself. Your world might crash around your ears if you pause and actually have fun! It is hard to do, but schedule some time into each day to sit down, and do nothing for 15 minutes to start. Sit in a peaceful setting, play soothing music, light some candles, and just breathe calmly. Don't use the time to rattle off your to do list in your head or replay a conversation you had earlier in the day. Just let yourself enjoy the quiet time. Don't worry, life will go on without your frantic pace for just a few minutes. As you get used to relaxation, increase the time to 20 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour.


I usually have the same problem.here's what I do:
I usually excersize..this will not totally get rid of the anxiety, but it will help. I would usually take a nap.sleeping helps me.and then I went to the dr. for my anxiety and he prescribed PROZAC. It does work as an anti-depressant, but it also helps anxiety..later I was diagnosed w/ depression. I didn't feel depressed, but I was irritable.
