Anxiety is to feel anxious. It can be present throughout the day with your levels of anxiety going up and down.
A panic attack is a shorter more intense episode of anxiety, symptoms may include,
* raging heartbeat
* difficulty breathing, feeling as though you 'can't get enough air
* terror that is almost paralyzing
* nervous, shaking, stress
* heart palpitation, feeling of dread
* dizziness, lightheadedness or nausea
* trembling, sweating, shaking
* choking, chest pains, distress
* fear, fright, afraid, anxious
* hot flashes, or sudden chills
* tingling in fingers or toes ('pins and needles')
* fearful that you're going to go crazy or are about to die
THIS WILL PASS. calm your self down and BREATHE.
From personal experience I wouldnt suggest anti depressents because they will numb the anxiety but prevent you from feeling happy. And although doctors will tell you otherwise alot of them are habit forming.
Also it is hard to find good sites on anxiety because most of them will be trying to sell you something.
I suggest that you go to the library and borrow some books on the subject or join an online group to talk about your experience.
I had panic attacks and anxiety for five years and I have come out the other side by changing my diet, exercise, breathing tequniques and trying to put things into perspective.
Good luck, Stay strong.

I think they're kind of the same, I've had them both (at least I think it's both) When you get the feeling that you're kind of dreaming then you start to sweat and your heart beats fast, I think that's an anxiety attack. As for panic attacks, well I get vertigo where you feel like you're just going to fall over, I sort of think that's a panic attack. I especially get them in a crowded place like a mall or something and that's why I think they're panic attacks. I hate the feeling of either of them, but sometimes you just have to try and control them yourself unless you want to take pills all the time. Try looking up these sites.
i think they r the same the feel the same when i have both
