Does anyone know how to change homosexuality?

Question:
I tried things like hypnosis, maybe a clockwork orange type of thing?

Answers:
greetings.

im sorry to tell you but you cant change it.

because that is who you are.

the best thing to do is to pray and seek guidance.

being a homosexual is not bad nor good.

that is why there is no reason for you to change.

be happy that you have a unique personality.

it can be developed too you know, try to not look at guys so often but hang out with them to talk about other things, but if you cant then like the other guy said, just accept yourself for who you are b/c if you really are interested in men why are you interested in women? yes you do WANT to be interested in women maybe but if thats what you want then put your mind to it. you can do anything if you put your mind to it
Yes. Beat them mercilessly until they stop being perverted sexual deviants.
why are you looking to change who you truly are? you will never find happiness if you are not true to yourself. what you need is to talk to other people that have struggled to come to terms with this as well. or at least a counselor who can help you to accept and love yourself as you are.
First of all why would you want to. It is part of you or not. You just do not turn gay or straight. Everyone has a degree of traits that are socialably related to the opposite sex. A guy can like flowers, like the color pink and listen to soft music does not mean he is gay. It just means that he has more feminine charactorists than some other guys. On the flip side of that --if a person is gay-- they should recognize it and embrace the fact that they are and be comfortable and confident with it. We are not all a like as humans-that is what makes us individuals and not machines!

common sense
biologically speaking, homosexuality occurs in all species.

religiously and/ or morally speaking.. some religions say to not act on the desires, some don't.

overall, it's a tricky situation anytime someone does not like something about themselves. you can also talk to a therapist/counselor to help you 1. sort out your feelings about yourself 2. sort out your feelings on sexuality and homosexuality.

this sounds like it is really bothering you. please take the time to talk things out with a counselor.

Have you tried Jesus Christ. He's the only one who can deliver you.
There have been many attempts at "curing" homosexuality including aversion therapy, masturbatory reconditioning, gender affirmation and spiritual based stuff (e.g. praying). A lot of money is made by organisations which claim to change sexual orientation. An ex-gay organisation can earn in a day what a gay-rights group earns in a month.

Historically, there have been "successful" cases of sexual reorientation - a famous one is Wolpe (1969) where a guy "changed" from homosexual to heterosexual after overcoming general interpersonal anxiety. To make matters even more strange, Wolpe himself did not even aim to change the clients sexual orientation - believing such a change to be impossible.

There have been other "successful" cases from other scientists involving masturbatory reconditioning, and covert sensitisation. However, it is unknown whether the changes were long term, or simply consisted of modifying sexual behaviour (which is different to sexual orientation).

Even today, there are "ex-gays" who testify that they went through a change. What do experts think of these so called "success stories" ?

Experts would now say that these people weren't homosexual to begin with, were really bisexual, or would have changed anyway (without the therapy). In addition, success stories are difficult to validate - often, the scientists involved don't do any long term follow up studies, and don't conform to normal testing procedures - e.g. having a control group.

The mainstream organisations now strongly oppose any kind of therapy which perceives homosexuality as a disorder. Studies since 1973 have concluded that homosexuality is not linked to any kind of mental illness.
