How to improve memory?

Question:
I mean the kind of memory where you have to do something, but you forget to do it. Sometimes you can't write everything on paper (for example, writing "brush teeth before going to sleep" would be stupid), and anyway I forget to read what I wrote so it doesn't work for me. How do you improve memory? Besides reducing stress.

Answers:
They say eating fish helps improve memory. And also doing things like cross word puzzles or matching games can help. Anything that gets your mind thinking is supposed to improve memory. Write a big list of words or numbers down and go over them till you memorize the order of them. Do this every day, kinda like a game, and over time your memory will improve. This activates things in your brain that helps memory.

Other Answers:
Practice. Do things like crosswork puzzles etc.

Quit smoking weed! huh? did you just ask me somethin?

Good questiion Luna.

Here is a simple device that should help and it works for people if they are old and when they are young. Say you need to remember to clean up the kitchen before your Mom gets home but you want to get started on your homework first or watch TV for awhile first. Just stop in your tracks for a moment. Take a deep breath and let it out. Then, say to yourself out loud: "I need to clean the dishes before Mom gets home." By simply saying it out loud, you have activated at least two parts of your brain that otherwise would have been "asleep" on the issue of remembering. That is the part of your brain that forms speech and that part of your brain that hears sounds.

So instead of just trying to rember to clean the kitchen or if you are older, just trying to remember that you have already taken a vitamin, tell yourself that you have done it or need to do it. It will stick in your mind much better.

Also, this technique works for trying to remember stuff such as other issues or things for school.

Good luck and good question.
