Feeling of a lump in my throath?

Question:
hi i am student, and have been a bit worried the last while, whenever i think of work i get the feeling of a lump sitting in the back of my torath, i have no problems swallowing and it goes if engage in something else, is this normal? any advice on how to cope with my angsity

Answers:
I had this same problem and ended up seeing a specialist. It seems it is due to stress, even when you aren't really stressing out about anything. I know the feeling well, but have come to realise that that is all it is and it soon goes away. Meditation is good, and so is getting away from it all and just shutting down for half an hour or so. Buy a relaxation cd and see what a difference it can make. Good luck.

you need to get that checked NOW.

See a doctor.

It's normal with depression,go to a good therapist and they'll teach you coping skills,it really helps It's globus hystericus , You're stressing out over work, see a psychologist or at least talk to someone about your problems.

I've had the same problem, and it got to the point where I couldn't talk or swallow without gagging or feeling my throat was swelling shut.

It may resolve itself when your level of stress decreases, but don't suffer, see a doctor.
