How do i stop having nightmares all the time?
Question:
Answers:
This worked for me. Ten or twenty times everyday note something a little unusual and say out loud, "This is kind of odd -- is this really happening or is it a dream? If this is a dream, do I want to have it?"
I know it sounds weird, but it seems to teach your brain to ask AND answer those questions, and to wake you up a little if the answer is "A dream, and no I don't".
The unusual waking occurrences you are noting don't have to be extraordinary at all. Just a tall person or a dirty car or a moving shadow is unusual enough. If you can't always say it out loud, then think it to yourself very hard.

Watch what you eat at night
sometimes certain foods trigger nightmares, and you might be lacking certain vitamins and minerals. Occasional nightmares are commonplace, but recurrent nightmares can interfere with sleep and may cause people to seek medical help. A recently proposed treatment consists of imagery rehearsal (PMID 15984916). This approach appears to reduce the effects of nightmares and other symptoms in acute stress disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder[1]
Well I got a way but u have to go to a Doctor. And get tons of shots. LOL :)
Well, I think your dreams tell you something. Maybe theres something there thats bothering you and you cant tell anyone about it. And thats why your having nightmares. I think you should try and talk to someone about your nightmare or tell someone what is bothering you. This might help.
Sounds like you are stressed out about something. Sleep is the brain's chance to sort out stuff, and if you are worried or anxious about something, this can come out in the form of bizarre, and sometimes awful dreams.
Have a good hard look at what is going on in your life at the moment, and decide what has happened recently (coinciding with the start of the nightmares), which is clearly unresolved, and see if there is anything you can do to put this thing right. Other than that, try out some relaxation techniques, such as yoga, reiki, or simple meditation before you go to bed. This might help the body and mind relax, and give you a better night's sleep. Alternatively, some rigorous exercise can also help to work the stress out of your body. try drinking a glass of milk before you go to sleep. also, listening to your favorite music on a low volume level can help you think of good things before drifting off to dreamland.
