primarily the basis of mental disorders start with distingushing what is normal and what is abnormal, which may not clearly defined. something which is normal for one may not be normal for another, but that doesn't essentially signify any disorder.

as also may be you would have heard of the numerous phobias and manias, which may not be classified as definite mental disorder

but there are psychopathic disorders , which can are definitely mental disorders. it can include many for example, core psycopaths, split personalities etc.. it not only affects a person but may also be socially affective.
