would you rather??

Question:
Have your body intact, but your mind gone (like alzheimer's, organic brain syndrome) or have your mind intact but no use of your body (like spinal cord injury or ALS)

Answers:
tough one, probably mind gone cause you wouldn't know it was gone:) Also, to have your mind intact with no use of your body would be horrible! To not be able to speak, move, ect. and not be able to do anything about it.

Other Answers:
im sure if u had brainss u coud find a way to get a body

i never thought about that but i would have to go with my mind in contact like it would be bad but not as bad as like forgetting that you have like your ummmmmmmm stove on. yea thats my answer I would rather have my mind intact. Look at young disabled veterans, Steven Hawking, etc. vs. Anna Nicole Smith, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc. :-)

mond intact. no use of body, i woud want to commnicate with my family and friends and REMEMBER IT!!lol

I'd rather have both. Oh, was that not one of the options?

Neither.but If i had no choice at all,i would go with the brains.

body in tact with no mind.i used to work at a nursing home and i felt so sorry for the ones who knew what was going on but they just couldn't do any thing on their own because they know what they r missing, but with Alzheimer's you just don't know u are in your own little world and it seems everything is the way it should be .but both r very sad to have

Oh gosh. both feature horrible conditions, but I would chose mind intact and no use of your body. Rather have my Mind intact

Brain intact, body not but can i keep function of my hands to play my guitar? thanks

YIKES,THATS A HARD ONE.

IF YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND YOU CAN'T APPRECIATE YOUR BODY.
BUT IF YOU ARE SANE AND PARALIZED YOU ARE FULLY AWARE OF YOUR YOUR CURRENT SITUATION.

BOTH CHOICES(TO ME)SEEM LIKE A LIVING HELL.
I CAN'T CHOOSE.
I COULD NEVER IMAGINE JUST LYING IN BED ALL DAY AND NIGHT AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE.
PURE HELL.

trapped in a useless body and being aware of it.what a nightmare make me a veggie please This is all a matter of ones preferance. I have one for you would you rather be blind or not be able to walk??

I know a few people who died from ALS it was so frustrating and in the end they cant do anything physicaly and they can not cumminacate with anyone.
But then having watched a few individuals with Alzheimers wow how awful to have this one minute your fine the next your not here .. these might be sever cases but wow no thanks to either.
I recently was stuck in a wheel chair for a few weeks and it sucked big time. I am looking at the rest of my life with my joints deterating I know that I will need more surgery to fix my knees with joint replacment some day I just want to be able to walk and move without pain now.

To finally answer your question I would like neither.. I hope that some day soon some wonderful drug is developed to make these horrific disorders a thing of the past. And lets Add HIV To that list and all cancers also.. have a great day.
